Larna Ezzy Packing Shed Patchwork

About Packing Shed Patchwork

Packing Shed Patchwork was founded by Larna Ezzy. Larna has been using a needle and thread ever since she can remember.  Patchwork and quilting has been part of her life for over 20 years.

Larna ran a local craft community group at the local community centre for three years when she first returned to the Hawkesbury region and has entered her patchwork quilts in numerous quilt shows winning a’ Viewers Choice’ award at the Blackheath Quilt Show in 2000. Larna also collaborated with the Grose View Public School students to create a patchwork block depicting the school for the Hawkesbury’s’ Bicentenary Quilt.

In 2004 Larna of Packing Shed Patchwork held an outdoor patchwork quilt show in the garden at her Grose Vale property to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Group.

In 2005 Larna was invited to participate in the invitation only ‘Artburst Weekend’ by Tizzana Winery where local wine, food and art are showcased for the weekend.

‘Packing Shed Patchwork’ had been a dream of Larna's ever since moving back onto the family property in Grose Vale in 1990. Realisation of that dream involved turning the old fruit packing shed on the Grose Vale property into an ideal retreat for ladies to learn patchwork and sew, and also a venue to showcase Larna’s textile art and patchwork works.

Larna offers a very personalised service with small class numbers.

Students can book in for a term class consisting of 5 patchwork lessons where students are taught all the basics from drafting a pattern, colour choice and design. Students can choose to design their own patchwork project or use one of Larna’s many original patchwork designs.  The more advanced student is also well catered for, with an array of patchwork quilt designs on offer.  Each student is taught at their own pace allowing students to develop their patchwork own skills.

Two-day patchwork weekend workshops are also on offer.
Crazy patchwork is very popular, and embroidery is also popular.
